A striking Irish Regency circular occasional table of superb quality, the top inlaid with an elaborate radiating star motif composed of contrasting specimen timbers, including richly figured burr and satinwood veneers. The central roundel is framed by alternating triangular segments forming a bold compass-style design, enclosed within a crossbanded rosewood border.

The top is supported on a turned and tapering column, encircled by a carved collar detail, above a triform platform base of elegant concave outline. The base terminates in three shaped feet with integral recessed castors, combining both stability and mobility.

The beautifully figured rosewood displays deep colour and lively grain throughout, complementing the vibrant tones of the inlaid top. The crisp geometry and refined craftsmanship are characteristic of the Regency period’s fascination with classical symmetry and decorative contrast.

An elegant and highly decorative centre or lamp table.
