A stunning 19th century Louis XVI style side cabinet, the cabinet is surmounted by a white rectangular marble top with canted corners below an ormolu mounted frieze, The centre to the cabinet is adorned by an opposing ormolu mounted figure flanked by doors with rectangular sevre porcelain painted panels framed by ormolu mounted borders. The doors are lockable and when opened, each compartment encloses a shelved interior. The side panels of the cabinet are beautifully decorated with similar ormolu mounts as the front. The front two edges of the piece include exceptionally well-cast, very ornate ormolu mounts, of a similar design to the centre of the cabinet, ensuring a cohesive design throughout the piece. the cabinet is raised on canted bracket feet with applied ormolu mounts.
