An exceptional George III Satinwood serpentine shaped commode, the serpentine top with out-swept front corners cross-banded in kingwood. The kingwood moulded border frame around central panels of book-matched satinwood veneers, above three graduated serpentine drawers, The top drawer revealing a leather lined brushing slide and when the slide is retracted, an arrangement of open and lidded compartments with a central reversible jewellery pad and mirror rising on a retractable ratchet support. with a hinged ink drawer to the right side, each drawer with its original ormolu foliate handles.  The serpentine commode is raised with a shaped apron and four splayed outswept feet.

Superb colour and patina throughout.
