A fine quality Edwardian satinwood display cabinet of elegant proportions, richly figured throughout and adorned with delicate contrasting inlay. The upper section centred with a large glazed display compartment fitted with adjustable glass shelves and mirrored back, flanked by inlaid panels decorated with classical urns, trailing husks and ribbon-tied swags, each centred with an oval medallion.

The projecting cornice above is crossbanded and inlaid, echoing the refined neoclassical detailing characteristic of the Edwardian revival taste. The lower section enclosed by a pair of panelled cupboard doors flanked by conforming side panels, all outlined with boxwood and ebony stringing and crossbanded borders.

Raised on six slender turned and tapering legs terminating in spade feet, united by a shaped apron, the cabinet displays a warm golden tone and lively grain typical of satinwood veneers.

Elegant, refined and highly decorative, this cabinet offers both practical storage and display while embodying the lightness and classical restraint associated with early 20th-century English furniture design.
