A Fine 19th Century French Sevres-Style Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Clock Garniture. Comprising a central mantel clock and a pair of five-light candelabra, each richly decorated with hand-painted panels in the Sevres manner depicting classical figures, floral garlands, and romantic scenes, set against a turquoise blue ground within jewelled and gilt borders. The clock surmounted by a lidded urn flanked by scrolling acanthus handles, with finely cast gilt-bronze mounts, masks, and foliate scrollwork throughout. The circular porcelain dial painted with cherubs and Roman numerals, enclosing an eight-day movement striking on a bell. The candelabra en suite with draped female masks, scrolling arms and acanthus decoration, raised on stepped ormolu bases.
A superb quality Parisian garniture, exhibiting the opulence and refined artistry typical of late 19th century French decorative arts, likely retailed by one of the leading Paris houses such as Denière or Raingo Frères.
