A very fine 19th century French Louis XVI style Rouge marble and ormolu mantle clock by Raingo Frères, Paris. The circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic outer minute track, finely cast gilt hands and signed “Raingo Frères, Paris”. The twin-barrel movement striking on a bell, contained within an architectural rouge griotte marble case of elegant form, surmounted by a classical urn finial with beaded and fluted gilt mounts, the front adorned with gilt-bronze foliate scrollwork, fluted pilasters, and floral garlands. The stepped base with further ormolu mounts and rosettes, raised on gilt bronze toupee feet.
