An exceptional late 19th century bronze figure by H. F. Moreau (1832-1917) and P. Lecourtier (1851-1924), 'Hunter with Hounds', depicting a finely dressed French huntsman of the Louis XV period out in the field accompanied by his two hounds, the figure sculpted by Moreau with feathered tricorn hat, fastened three quarter length jacket and knee high boots, his large and impressive horn gripped in his right hand, his left holding on to the roped leads of his two canine companions, a sword hangs to his left side waist, the hounds sculpted by Lecourtier standing with raised heads seemingly trying to locate the scent of prey, on naturalistic circular base with integral plinth bearing a plaque to front reading ' Piqueur au Realais, Salon de Beaux Arts', impressed marks of both artists to base,
